Focus on IoT, IVA, cyber security and terror threats
The Internet of Things (IoT), Intelligent Video Analysis,
cyber security and terror threats are the subjects in
focus at the conferences to be held in conjunction with
the Sectech exhibition in Stockholm from the 21st
22nd of November at the International Stockholm Fair.
The Scandinavian security exhibi-
tion Sectech has been a success
since its inception in 2001. Last
year the event took place in Copen-
hagen and the Norwegian version
was held in April 2017. Now it is
time for Sweden to host Sectech.
On the 21st-22nd November 2017
Sectech Sweden will take place at
the International Stockholm Fair.
The Swedish edition of this
compact event is the most well-
attended with over 2,200 security
professionals. Just like the sister-
events in Denmark and Norway
the Swedish event is centred
around an exhibition with small
standard stands of 6 square metres
and a few alternative stands of 12
square metres.
As a forum for promoting se-
curity solutions the strength of the
Sectech exhibition is confirmed
by the fact that all 92 stands were
booked three month prior to the
opening of the event.
Sectech was created as an
alternative event to the big security
exhibitions where small and large
suppliers of security technology
products and services can meet
and compete without being visu-
ally divided by the size of their
stands on the exhibition floor, says

Sectech is simply a meeting
point for all kinds of suppliers of
products and service solutions for
physical security applications and
their existing and potential custom-
ers. It is a tight event where the
content and the personal appear-
ance on the stands matters more
than anything else, states Lennart
Alexandrie.
That´s why we have not
been so keen on expanding the
event. We want it to be perfectly
dimensioned for the numbers and
character of the attendees. We
always take into consideration how
to maintain that tight and close-
knit atmosphere that has always
been the mark of the event.
A main attraction for the exhibi-
tion is the conference programme.
A key focus at the conference is
modern technology and how to use
it: Internet of Things (IoT), video
analysis, artificial intelligence (AI)
and cyber security are in focus as is
the terror threat.
Sectech is not just an exhibi-
tion and a meeting place to do
business. It´s also an important
source for knowledge about the
market and what drives it forward,
says Lennart Alexandrie.
This is the 9th time that Sectech
will be organised in Stockholm
and the 25th time that the event
will take place at one of the three
Scandinavian capitals.
