New visitor record for Sicur
Spain's biggest security event, Sicur, took place from
20 to 23 February at Feria de Madrid, and was a great
success. According to the organiser Ifema attract-
ed the event 645 exhibitors and 43,732 visitors from
81 countries. These figures represent an increase of
12 percent and 3.4 percent, respectively.
More statistics 55 percent of pro-
fessionals registered for the event
were from outside Madrid and 8.5
percent were international visitors.
European professionals accounted
for the majority of international
attendees, especially those from
Portugal, Italy, France and United
Kingdom, in addition to visitors
from the Ibero-American area.
The conference programme
of technical seminars, attracted
2,500 participants.

The high number of visitors
should be viewed in the light
that Sicur 2018 is a differentiated
trade show representing Security
and Defence, Fire Prevention and
Emergencies and Safety at Work.
The event also displayed a new
area for exhibitors and seminars,
dedicated to Cyber Security
(Sicur Cyber) which brought
together 400 professionals.
New Product Gallery
Innovation was the key element
shared by the products and servic-
es offered at Sicur's various stands.
In the New Products Gallery, 45
highly innovative products and
solutions were displayed, where
16 corresponded to Security, 24
to Safety at Work, and 5 to Fire
Prevention and Emergencies.
Sicur 2018 was opened on in
the morning of 20 February by
the Minister of the Interior, Juan
Ignacio Zoido. The opening cer-
emony was also attended by the
Government Delegate in Madrid,
Concepción Dancausa Treviño,
as well as representatives from
the Directorate General for Civil
Protection and Emergencies at
the Ministry of the Interior, the
Directorate General for Safety,
Civil Protection and Training of
the Community of Madrid, and
the State security forces.
Camera lens manufacturer Fujifilm vis-
ited Ar Media stand. Fr left Rob van der
Spank and Manuela Schmitz-Muno.
Spanish intrusion system provider Jr
Sistemas presented new products at the
show.
The team from Access Control manufac-
turer Nedap were happy with the visitors
at Sicur.
Spanish security provider Bunker Seguridad exhibited together with a large group of
partners. KBC, Takex, Optex, GJD and Cias.
Spanish Salto Systems had busy days
during the exhibition. Fr left Carlos
Elosequi, marketing and Javier Roquero,
CEO.
The team from perimeter solution
provider Optex were present during the
event.
Fr left Glen Fletcher and Antonio Pérez
from NVT Phybridge presented their
solution products within IP connection.

Den aktuelle terrortrussel er temaet for en minikonference, som finder sted i for-
bindelse med åbningen af sikkerhedsmessen Security User Expo den 27 september.
Justitsminister Søren Pape Poulsen indleder konferencen og bekræfter dermed pro-
blemets store prioritet i regeringen.
De øvrige konferencetemaer er cybersikkerhed, Internet of Things og intelligente
sikkerhedskameraer.
Security User Expos krumtap er dog selve messen, som præsenterer de allerseneste
løsninger til fysisk sikring af såvel mindre butikker og kontorer som industrivirksom-
heder og højsikkerheds-anlæg.

Danskerne er glade for tv-overvågning, både i virksomheden og hjemme i privaten, men der hersker stadig mange
misforståelser omkring reglerne for tv-overvågning og behandling af optagelserne.

Brug af PVC
under udfasning
PVC er en udbredt plasttype i sikrings-
branchen, men materialet er forbundet
med en række risici. Derfor forsøger bran-
chen at udfase både brugen af PVC og de
fire ftalater, der om få år bliver forbudt i
alt elektronisk udstyr.
