An undisputed winner for 2015!” Easy Web Manager EWM 2.0. Highly Commended Product Award The D-Tect 2 IP from GJD Manufacturing (UK) The D-Tect 2 IP is an IP passive infrared detector for use with VMS systems and is programmable remotely over a web based interface for adjustments, including LUX level trigger, sensitivity and detection range as well as setting activation for specific times. It is a highly sophisticated IP-based detection device that harnesses the power of IP with Power over Ethernet connectivity, advanced signal processing, quad pyro scanning and unique optical systems to provide state-of-the-art alarm capture. The detection beam range can be programmed for up to 30 metres, avoiding boundary overspill and making it particularly effective for perimeter detection. Installation is just as easy as setting up an IP camera, so low installation costs, low maintenance costs and quick deployment. The motivation expressed by the panel of DIA judges: “GJD accelerates into a new era with this user friendly yet highly innovative, versatile and remotely programmable PoE IP intrusion sensor for use with VMS systems.” D-Tect 2 IP. Innovative Achievement Award The IP Fog Cannon with Intellibox from Protect (Denmark) the fog, setup and control of the fog cannon, and remote software updates. Access is now also provided to the substantial volumes of data about the fog cannon in real-time and also to legacy stored data. A multicard expansion board allows for 9 independent outputs making it possible to separate the signalling of various fault conditions. The motivation expressed by the panel of DIA judges: ” The world’s first IP fog generator solution saves time and money and enables previously unavailable remote functions – a real step forward for this sector of the industry”. Strips from Sensative (Sweden) On activation the IP Fog Cannon with Intellibox obscures everything from view with a thick dense harmless fog. The new IP remote functionalities save time and money and include monitoring, analysis and control of the fog cannon. Functions and features can now be accessed and operated remotely such as, monitoring and analysing working state and fault conditions, debugging, service checks, firing of The Strips Series is a set of ultra-thin radio magnetic/heat contacts connected through a smart network Z-Wave gateway. The device consists of a plastic Strip with a magnetic sensor, temperature sensor and built-in battery with an adhesive backing and is only 3mm thick. Marketed as, the “invisible door/ window sensors”, these products are designed to protect the perimeter of a smart home or office when attached to windows, doors and other valuables. Users can be notified if a door or window is left open and a built in temperature sensor can also help to control energy costs. The long life mercury free battery ensures up to ten years usage and is better for the environment. The motivation expressed by the panel of DIA judges: ”The Strips series of ultra-thin sensors, connected through a smart network Z-wave gateway, delivers a stunning response to security demands in contemporary smart homes.” Security News Every Day – www. securityworldhotel.com
