The third edition of Security User Expo was held for the first time at the Bella Center. There were both TV and radio teams in place at the show to report on the security market trends and news. Denmark’s biggest event Security User Expo is Denmark’s first and Scandinavia’s second largest security exhibition and fills a great need. – Security User Expo is a very important forum for the Danish security industry. This also includes using IP as a permanent communication hub in modern security systems. Milestone was one of a total of 75 companies exhibiting at the show. Trends – IP, VCA and open platforms It was not only Thomas Lausten that had views on the current trends being shown at Security User Expo. Jens-Otto Buur, Managing Director of ADI Global in Denmark, the security product distributor and the main sponsor of Security User Expo, had his view on the subject as well. – It is still very much about IP video surveillance and in this field the trend is an increasing interest for video analysis. Video analysis is also very exciting and has great potential, commented Jens-Otto Buur. – A clear trend is that customers are increasingly keen on going for systems based on open platforms, stated Jens Möller, Busines Unit Manager for the the Assa Abloy product division Aperio in Scandinavia.
