The receivers of the Detektor International Awards (DIA) 2014 were presented during the Skydd security show at the International Stockholm Fair on the 15th of October. Twelve prizes were given out to security product manufacturers from all over the world. The
overall winners in the three product categories were Axis (Access Control) Xtralis (Alarm & Detection) and Arecont Vision (CCTV).

IoT will change the security market
2014 has been a very exciting year for the global security market. The consolidation of the industry has continued through a number of interesting acquisitions. Canon’s acquisition of Milestone Systems was of course the most surprising deal on the market. Vanderbilt’s purchase of Siemens Security Products was also unexpected.
