Success for Detektor Football Cup
Detektor Football Cup, the global security industry’s football tournament in Birmingham, was arranged on the 11th of May 2010 during IFSEC week. Mayflex (UK) won the first prize, before the 2nd Videotec (Italy) and the third Idesco (Finland). Sweden was represented by the organiser Detektor on the fourth place.
The cup was arranged at Birmingham Soccer Centre in conjunction with the IFSEC-exhibition with seven teams present. The cup’s sponsor was Raytec, which placed itself fifth in the competition, followed by an “all star” team called CCTV Team, which was made up of players from OPAX, Saab, Pemel and CCTV Support. On the last spot came the German network camera manufacturer Mobotix.
“This is a success that will be repeated for years to come. The next tournament will expand and hopefully we will then have a Swedish team that bags the gold medal,” commented Lennart Alexandire, editor-in-chief for Detektor International, as well as playing team captain.
